Personally, this had been a tough couple of days, memories

In Nov. 2016, my husband was getting the last treatments of chemo that did no good.
We both voted early at the Board of Elections. We really wanted HRC to win, and because of the polls, expected her to win. He had been staying in the living room in his recliner, even sleeping there. When I went to bed around midnight, I still thought HRC would win. DU had already gone down and 538 had gone silent. But still, I got up the next morning and came from my room and John was sitting there really down. He said flatly that trump had won. I was stunned and felt like crying. It was a terrible time, and nothing got better. John passed away a few days after the 'inauguration'. I am pretty sure that the miscarriage of 2016 brought my husband's death sooner than it might have been. Nov. 2016 was on my mind yesterday and I probably had more anxiety than I would normally during an election.

Anyway, I especially hate the impeached traitor and hope there is a crummy disgusting place in hell saved for him.

As tough as 2016 was for most of us, it had to be heart rending for you. NoRoadUntravelled Nov 2020 #1

I'm sorry for your loss. Having the current occupant of the Oval Office creating chaos for the last 4 years has probably made things more difficult than they already were.

I know trump will be in the news the rest of his life and beyond, but maybe after this election, I won't be so angry.

Thank you.

And to all of us releasing the pain and anger of the last four years. It's a good start.

Ty for taking the time to comment. We will pull back from the abyss and make things better again.

could have seen a Democratic president being inaugurated before he passed. I can understand the anxiety and grief you must be feeling during this election.

I have to believe that Trump will get everything he deserves and soon.

I hope, not just about my personal feelings, but what he allowed to happen to our country.

Just had a long talk with my daughter about things we hope will happen, and soon.

I've had several long talks with my daughter about our hopes as well. We are mostly optimistic, but still a bit cautious, as you can never really rest as long as Trump is in the White House. We both have been big supporters of Joe for a long time, so that gives us some reassurance and comfort.
