The guys in the back or Ed Harris?
I had to block like 5 people last night who I haven't ever seen here before. They were driving me crazy!

(32,992 posts)to avoid MSNBC, went to bed early.
Knowing that these decisive states wouldn't be called last night made it bearable.
Still nervous today, and sickened by the GOP retaining the Senate.

(13,776 posts)I was looking forward to a lovely dinner of pizza, wine, and schadenfreude.
I did have wine.
But I couldn't eat and am still kind of leftover-nauseated today. That was a scarring experience.

(21,737 posts). . .having been a poll worker yesterday, from 5 AM to 10:30 pm, I went home and went to bed.
Slept for about 9 hours straight. . .and still felt a little bit fried. I didn't log on back to DU until around 10 am.
This afternoon, there was a "Protect-The-Vote" rally a few miles from me, but I didn't go. It was a matter of the spirit being willing but the flesh still feeling weak.

Today took long walk and decided to change my thought patterns.
So a bit stressed but not as bad as past elections.

(36,217 posts)I sat in the MIR Team Lounge reading the instruction manual for the slick new espresso machine EarlG installed. The fucking directions were in Italian, but I finally figured it out. I'm now a whiz at triple espressos, but steaming the milk for my cappuccino is turning into a daunting task.

(28,904 posts)positive and get a good feel for the actual numbers. Most had really low post counts so I think they were just trolls screaming things like "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WHAT IS HAPPENING IN MICHIGAN????" To get under our skin.

(9,595 posts)Sometimes when you need to stress eat, you can't be bothered with the part that requires more time and baking.
Went to bed at 2 a.m., tossed and turned. Woke up at 6:37 a.m., checked phone for results. Nothing had changed. Fell asleep until almost 11 a.m.
I think by Friday, I might actually be able to get a normal night's sleep! For the first time in four years, I might add.
And as for the trolls, many were put on ignore last night.

(1,737 posts)However, I was disappointed in my state (Florida) but hopeful that we could pull through.
I had to block a few people including long-time DUers. Most had nothing positive to say. Any post that gave us a glimmer of hope, they'd come in with their Debbie Downer responses. Every single post they OP'd were negative. For my peace of mind, I put them on full ignore.

(38,187 posts)I can't help myself. I worry about everything. Nothing ever feels safe and sound. So, I was on Twitter the other night, and worried.
Looking back, I don't know why. For most of the night, Biden was in the lead in electoral college votes and was STILL in the lead in electoral college votes when Trump declared himself the winner.
That was the odd thing about it.
How so many of us could see Biden was in the lead and know how elections usually go, saw everything in reverse. My first thought was, "Oh, no, We're losing" when we weren't. I don't know why. I think the last four years have been so traumatizing for some of us, it made us feel like we were going back to the "moral majority" days of the 80s. At least, that is how it has felt to me.
But, I'm a worry wart anyhow. It's why I am so patient with people who really have OCD. I resist the urge to triple check everything before leaving the house, getting out of the car, etc.
