After a day of feeling crappy about the close nature of the race, I remembered

Trump filed for re-election ib January, 2017, spent four years raising money, tasked the RNC and state parties with organizing nonstop, turned the federal government into a political operation and held MAGA rallies all over the country. He had all kinds of advantages over Biden.

Which is about what he was expected to get in a lot of predictions, ironically enough.

The Senate results are still disappointing, but Biden might end up about where he was expected to be when the dust settles.
