Apologies from me to DUers. Frustrated, after having read Biden lost Florida,

I went off in a few posts about the "Blue Tsunami" and the "GOP is dead" theories that were floating around for the past few months. But after 3 hours of sleep (tossing and turning), and after logging in this morning, I didn't read any of the replies to those posts, because I knew I was out of line.

Last night, I was seriously gobsmacked (sorry, I had to use that word) by the early loss in Florida, and it felt like we were living 2016 all over again. I guess I was looking for someone to blame.

I'm so glad things seemed to have turned around.

Have a beautiful fall season everyone!

I hadn't given up on winning but I was disheartened that The Disaster-in-Chief had gotten so many votes. Not the America I want us to be.

Hard times, even if we dump Trump, thanks to R Senate & SCOTUS.

If I give up my anger, all I've got is tears. Anger is less painful.

I think many of us expected a stronger pushback not necessarily a Blue Tsunami but some kind of pushback more than what's happened, particularly in the Senate which is essentially unchanged meaning the Biden administration is going to have an uphill battle from day one (I have no idea why Ky elected that grinning Turtle faced bastard Mitch McConnell).

and uneducated people put McConnell back in.

Shows you how freaking weak McConnell, Collins and Graham are. Graham was actually pleading for money. Scared little rabbits aren't they?

Much of our perspective is: Children in cages will get Latinos to vote for Democrats. (The real answer is NO)
Trumps response to Covid will make him unwinnable (Fact: Trump had Covid and was out of commission for a few days. For him it was pretty much like a bad flu)
Shooting of AA by police will engage voters to vote for Democrats (Fact: The protests have created a narrative that Democrats want to abolish police and will cause America to descend into lawlessness and anarchy)
Trump is an incumbent. In my life we have only defeated two incumbents: Carter and Bush 1.

And don’t believe those who think they are some kind of DU “prophet” because no. Just no.

because she'd said a few weeks ago that she was preparing herself mentally for a Trump second term (though she disdains him as much as I). I just couldn't hear that. It was like giving up, to me, or turning over one's soul to the devil.

So, I basically hung up on her, remembering her words even though she had said nothing.

We've spoken today and I've updated her again with more positive standings so we are good, but that frustration just boiled over.

So, I understand.
