(54,770 posts)2. Even if they don't change parties, there are a few Senators up for reelection in 2022 who might
be persuaded to vote with Democrats on some legislation.
For example, if the strikes down ACA, they might vote in favor of replacement legislation. Similarly, a few might vote for enhanced unemployment. And Biden and House might be able to "bribe" a few with legislation that helps their state to get other needed legislation passed. We used to compromise all the time.
This is where I think Biden will excel. Although, we might have to give up a few things to get there.
We need to find a way to neutralize McConnell.
