This would not be the case.

We are a diverse society & certainly not all super wealthy.

Think about that when they start turning back the clock on the last 50 years of social progress.

There's a reason Trump did everything to stop mail-in ballots.

Just sayin.

That year, my brother, who does stuff for DARPA, told me, "give me a cell phone and a laptop, and I'll make any one of those machines give you any result you want, connected to the internet or not."

There was some REALLY funny stuff going on, especially in 2002 and 2004 with those things. E.g. the machine that gave Bush 3000 votes in an Ohio precinct that had 600 registered voters.

9. Yup. We have proven this year that we can actually wait for ballots to be counted.

Would be interesting to run 2022 & 2024 on paper ballots only.

Imagine the # of people a handcount process would employ too.

If just a couple of key States needed to win the electoral can be electronically adjusted by just enough votes, then the voting machines need to go.

12. They can ALL be electronically adjusted

I think random testing of them might have put the fear of a long federal sentence into some of the manufacturers, but "surprise Republican upsets" in close races still seem to be the norm rather than the exception. When the pollsters get it wrong, unexpected results still seem to always favor the Republican.

10. Either absolutely make secure, or get rid of electronic voting machines.

To me, that is the biggest threat to our US election process.

Count ballots by hand if it takes the full 10 days allowed by law.
