In 1976, 51.91% rejected Ford. So far, only 51.24% reject Trump

WTF? I know this will change as more 'rejection' votes come in from CA; but still, what has this nation become?

Few people hated Gerald Ford. I didn't even hate him. He seemed like a decent person; a lot of Republicans did back then.

People have witnessed Trumps lying, crassness, stupidity, bullshit, crime, general depravity, etc. for 4 years,
and fewer want to reject him than wanted to reject Ford. Apparently, character doesn't count for much.

The core of the base strongly preferred Reagan. Many stayed home when he barely beat Reagan in the primary.

Too many people know better, but voted against their consciences. Too many people knew what is needed as a society, but voted in selfishness.

"Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country."
We as a culture are on the wrong trajectory. I wish I had some actionable knowledge on how to change that.

It is projected that Biden will get 8-9 MILLION more votes, once everything is said and done.

People should be careful giving the final percentages when nationally, there are still millions of uncounted votes. It’s a shame that Trump is going to get 70 million+ votes, but the margins will get better for Biden.
