Fox has already called AZ for Biden.

Once NV gets called for Biden, they'll have him at 270, and will have to declare him President-Elect.

If PA gets called first, then EVERYONE will declare Biden the winner, and Fox won't be seen as betraying Trump.

None of the other networks have called it. There are way too many votes outstanding and the lead is going to narrow quite a bit and by a relatively unpredictable amount.

No one is saying Joe can’t win AZ or isn’t going to win AZ - but we damn sure don’t know for sure. It is irresponsible to call any race this early. I’d say the same it was reversed.

17. FOX and the AP have experts that say otherwise

FOX's is a really good election analyst who vehemently stands behind the math of it all, there is no way for Trump to win AZ, the other networks have held off because they are being very cautious.

Even Nate Silver, who says they called it too soon, admits that the FOX guys probably know more about it than he does.

We are still winning AZ, we just don't have a lot of visibility into what the counts are and what is remaining.

But neither the AP nor Fox have changed their call. They see it as a safe place to stand. And both have reversed calls before.

I’d say AZ leans Joe. We will probably win it. But it is far from a lock and when you call a race that early with that many unpredictable votes outstanding you really do a disservice to everyone who cares (on either side).

Count the votes. When it is mathematically impossible to lose - call the race.

IDK if there is a FOX component, but the state should have planned for it better.

PA is effed because Republicans in the statehouse refused to pre-process mail-ins, even knowing this would happen. It's almost as though they are passively coordinating with the Trump campaign--knowing he'd play the mail-in ballot card.

20. Rumor mill

Trump called Rupert Murdoch and screamed at him about calling another state. Trump and Murdoch haven't been seeing eye to eye during this election and some of the reporting is highlighting that.

A few have put out there that Murdoch supposedly wants Fox to be the first to call it for Biden. It sticks a fork in Trump and allows them to pretend to be unbiased while getting their base riled up on drama.
