Framing the Bain Job Numbers...

Romney will dance in circles, and parse words, and obfuscate the past until no one can clearly state how many jobs were "gained or lost". I think a better frame would be to emphasize that the jobs created do NOT equal the jobs lost.

Picture a commercial titled "Win Some, Lose Some". A worker from one of Romney's "new" jobs-say a Staples clerk- tells how he lost a full time job but that between his part-time job and food stamps and medicaid he's managed-for now-not to lose his home. He finishes saying "Thank you Bain Capital".

Next a steelworker explains how his company was bought and stripped leaving him out of work, without healthcare, his pension gone, and his home lost.He finishes "Thank you Mitt Romney.

Follow with graphic of clerks total yearly income and benefits package vs the steelworkers.

Close with "Sometimes plus one and minus one equals less than zero...."

Just my take-the jobs gained will never repay the cost of those lost in money or human dignity.
