(17,862 posts)It is all about me (I am going to be out of a job anyway). No regard to helping in the transition to the new government for one of the three most important Cabinet positions.
Note the Cabinet Secretaries and the departments under Obama probably began preparing their briefing/transition books right after the last election knowing the importance of it when the WH changed parties. Of course we know all of that went into the dumpster including the pandemic response plans.

This brings up a question about the 25th attempting to remove a President who can still act. What stops him from firing all the Cabinet members not his loyalists before the VP gets concurrence? Seems the writers of the Amendment haven't thought that out.
