in whether The Economist can "call" the electoral college result or not? Twitter won't even suspend the biggest liar and violence promoter that squats in the WH but they wield their authority here, geez.

When he says "Twitter", does he mean the company or the chatter on that site?

If it's the company, then surely "not calling" the election only applies to what they post on Twitter; they would say the economist can't call the election on their own website.

Anyway I'm not sure why Twitter the company would be bothered by people calling the election, at least as long as it's clear the user was talking about their own analysis and not presenting it as a confirmed final fact yet.

That's why I suspect he just means the chatter on Twitter.

They keep putting warnings and disclaimers on Trump's lies, therefore they would have to do the same if a legitimate organization made an official call for Biden. My guess that is their bullshit rationale.
