After all this time I cannot believe that people do not understand this all.

It is ALL about destabilisation and ripping apart the ties that bind.

Putin doesn't give a rat's red arse about Trump other than he is sledgehammer to the US constitutional system of governance.

Before Trump, at least the Republican party pretended to have some values... now Trump has 45% of the country supporting a wanna be dictator that sought to trash all of our institutions. Putin scored a major victory a long time ago.
