MAGA is fascist. Americans do not understand the power of fascism.

Once again, Dems are making the mistake of looking for weaknesses in their own campaign, rather than the strength of their opponent. Fascism is powerful; Fascism is effective; Fascism has a wide appeal over many segments of the population. None of that is news to people in Europe, but it seems to be so here.

Trump's 2020 campaign was full-blown fascism. it appealed to those amenable (and more than amenable) to the fascist mindset. It attracted voters who had sat out elections for years. And it really should not be a surprise that the fascist appeal extended to all racial groups.

"Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities."

Never has this quote been more prescient in America. This is dangerous and our Democracy is still in peril even after Joe takes office.

Getting the Dotard out will be a good first step. He openly claims fascist powers and whines that the Presidency does not have them. And that sounds appealing to an appalling large percentage. Not over 50% yet. Don't let it get there.

And in most cases throughout history, the most ruthless thugs tend to win by sheer force and by way of no ethics.

They will not play fair or honor any decorum and we can see how that is working here. They will wield the proverbial sucker punch, hit below the belt and kick us in the shins whenever possible.

to this place. We've seen surveys that have shown that frightening numbers of younger people who believe that democracy is overrated, authoritarian rule isn't so bad, a lack of knowledge about the Holocaust, etc.

Lots of people here and elsewhere have hypothesized that "we just have to let the elderly racists die off". Well, this election seems to be suggesting the problem is MUCH deeper than that.

who are down with authoritarianism. That demographic is actually older people that are down with authoritarianism. I can tell you why a lot of young people think democracy is overrated because a lot of them poor. The millennial generation is the most poor generation in America right now and keep in mind the majority of millennials are now in their 30's and we will have a few of them hitting 40 in the next two months. Generation Z is also going to be as poor as the millennials or even more poor due to costs of living, and student loans exploding. Another fact to keep in mind is now Millennials and Generation Z combined out number Generation X/Boomers combined. So now you have two disgruntled generations that hate the current American capitalistic system because it has dicked them over. It's not that they hate democracy but they hate how our current crony capitalistic system has made it hard for them to have decent quality of life.

With economic conditions not improving for Millennils and Generation Z our country might not be able to hold up that much longer once the Boomers are gone. I say this because the Boomers are the only generation left that has a strong middle class. I really look at it as a dire situation that has to be fixed very soon or we could have even more corrupt leaders like Trump due to people being desperate for some sort of savior.

Many people think it can’t happen here.....or at least used to think it.

Once fascism started emerging in the 30s in Europe it grew and grew.....making Jews the main object of their denigration and hatred. Millions were executed. Massive wealth was confiscated from the Jews. We fought a bloody war to beat it back.

Now it is a danger here. Peaceful transfer of power has been a norm.....until now.

This Orange Idiot and his fans are a menace. Trump keeps suing to stop the counting of ballots legitimately cast. He thinks it is cheating. He is wrong.

Eventually he is going to leave or be evicted. He has made noise about running in 2024....the NY AG might have other ideas.

But what of his fanatic fans? We are in a really dangerous moment in time.
