I had a credit that was about to expire anyway, so I got it on Kindle for only $2.49. The books are suspense-romance. I'm not a big romance novel reader, but I do love suspense. Besides that, I want to support her.

Already loved her for her great communication skills, but now I find out she's a Star Trek nerd as well. OK, I am in love. What an awesome woman and I am so grateful for her skills this election season.

I am old enough to have watched the original episodes as they came out, the tribbles one is still my favorite one of all.

I remember the originals when they first aired as well. At the time, they were so original and cutting edge. My favorite of all the franchises has been The Next Generation and Picard is still my favorite captain.

Spock will always be my favorite character, the episode where his human half becomes dominant was very powerful to me at the time.

Captain Kick was a close second and I was very proud he was a Canadian at a time where Canadian actors were few and far between in American movies and television.

An aside, sort of, have you seen the ads with Picard and Luke Skywalker (Patrick Stewart and Mark Hamill) for Uber Eats, they are great, imo.

(I'm a big fan of Star Wars as well ergo my combining the three of my favorites in this post, lol)

I've watched the first three seasons of Discovery and the first season of Picard. Basically, I like anything Star Trek though some more than others.

As for Star Wars, I loved the originals, but I'm a bit lukewarm on some of the sequels.

I totally agree, The original 3 are what I consider the 'real' Star Wars, the others are sequels which, while good, do not come up to the originals.

it is better to end on a high note rather than drag it out until the whole Star Wars series are tainted by these 'remakes', imo.

It is really sad actually. The reason Star Wars worked originally was because it was something new and original. Remaking the same storyline is rather pathetic, plus the overuse of in-your-face special effects can be rather mind numbing. Just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you should.
