Aren't there any Republican senators who will challenge Mitch as leader?

I mean some, probably many, of the 400 + bills Mitch has sitting on his desk have bipartisan support. Aren't there some Republicans that aren't total obstructionist assholes? If Chuck Schumer had refused to bring House bills to a vote, I think some, if not most, Democrats would have objected. That's just not how you do things.

Some possibilities. I don't think the Lincoln Project has that pull. But Biden does. marylandblue Nov 2020 #7

Mitt is out on an island, and no one else has the gumption.

McConnell is there until he sheds his mortal shell.

Aren't there TWO (or more) Repugnant-lican Senators
Who would like to BECOME HEROES in the story of our democracy
BY SWITCHING PARTIES
From R to D
Or to an "I" who always votes with the D's?

Suppose the Lincoln Project, behind the scenes, were to go into heavy persuasion mode?

He can offer many goodies for their careers or their states if they are so inclined.

They are all pretty much afraid of power within their party and deathly afraid of losing their seats.

The best we can get is a few who demand he be less obstructionist. A small group willing to work with Democrats can overrude McConnell whenever they want.

Why would any of them challenge him? He is incredibly effective at pushing their agenda or stonewalling any agenda the Democratic Party are working toward.
