It's unlikely, but distantly possible he gets one of them.
But three?
Virtually impossible.
They may not know exactly which states for sure, but this election is in the bag.

(6,008 posts)Maybe they could pick off one state if they needed it, but to flip 3 states would mean that they would retain power over a country in ruins.

But 3 states?
No way. The court knows they can't get away with that.

(1,896 posts)No one can expect any sort of meaningful turnover from this admin. Are records from this admin at risk of being lost in the interim?

(1,896 posts)Could the courts nullify a state or two? It would become 538 minus PA 26 = 512, still needing 270 to win. Rinse and repeat.

(52,185 posts)generally speaking, state legislatures can't overturn elections unless they've already passed laws allowing them to do so and then satisfy all those laws' requirements. chances are good they can't do this in the several states they'd need to do this in.
courts can do things like order recounts or stop recounts, but throwing out ballots that have been reviewed and approved by the party observers seems far-fetched. outright nullifying an election would be unheard of.
i don't think any judge wants to tell an entire state that their entire election will be thrown out. there would have to be clear-cut evidence of massive election fraud for that, and there's nothing remotely like that because it's all a republican fantasy.

(1,896 posts)This administration a lost cause, a restart may be needed. What I'm really looking for is, at what risk are documents of this admin to being hidden, altered, or destroyed?

(36,294 posts)I imagine the people Biden has on his transition team are well experienced with how Washington works and are busy every day.
As I understand it, Biden and his team don't get full access until he is sworn in. We also have to remember that Biden will not officially be president-elect until the electors vote in December.

The math says we won this. Who cares if it takes another week for it to be official.
