MINNEAPOLIS After trying to capitalize on the civil unrest in Minneapolis this summer, two members of anti-government Boogaloo Bois attempted to sell untraceable machine guns and unregistered silencers to Hamas, an international terrorist group, to be used in attacks against United States and Israeli soldiers overseas, according to a new indictment announced by federal prosecutors in Minnesota Friday.Michael Robert Solomon, 30, and Benjamin Ryan Teeter, 22, met with an undercover FBI agent, who they believed to be a senior member of Hamas, on July 30, according to federal court documents.
Michael Robert Solomon, 30, and Benjamin Ryan Teeter, 22, met with an undercover FBI agent, who they believed to be a senior member of Hamas, on July 30, according to federal court documents. The two men delivered silencers and a drop in auto sear a device that converts semi-automatic weapons into illegal machine guns to the undercover agent. They said they could make untraceable weapons and gun parts, and negotiated to sell five more silencers for $1,800 apiece, according to court documents.
The indictment adds two new weapons counts to the criminal case against Solomon and Teeter, adding to the previous terrorism charges, for illegal possession of machine guns and silencers. Along with other federal court documents, the indictment provides detail into the role the Boogaloo Bois, a loose-knit group bent on starting the next American civil war, played during Minneapolis riots after the police killing of George Floyd and their alleged plot to enlist as mercenaries for Hamas to raise money for their movement.

(17,911 posts)both in this case I'd imagine. They both serve law enforcement well many times. Did they really think an organization with the size and depth of Hamas, with deep ties to the international arms market would outsource such things to a couple of nobody yokels in Minnesota?

(2,690 posts)Reports from those cities (see the current New Yorker) indicate that the police allowed the "militia" guys to walk free while funneling and gassing the "Antifa" protesters. And I can never forget the Kenosha camaraderie between the RW terrorists and the local fuzz -- remember little Kyle Rittenhouse, the double murderer, who they allowed to walk free knowing full well he'd just murdered 2 people?
My point is, how in hell do we protect ourselves from terrorist sympathizers dominating our police force anti-riot squads?

(3,724 posts)Boogaloo Boy Steve Carrillo was charged with the death of a California Police officer and a Federal Protection officer in California. Amazingly this escaped the attention of President Law and Order.
Think if that were Antifa, he may have reacted differently?

(14,489 posts)It's fantasy to think this event will destroy this group. Instead, it will drive them further underground. What needs to be destroyed is the mindset that makes them think they need to take such actions, along with the evil group-think effect freely allowed on social media where these groups are formed.
The seeds of them are fear and hatred planted into social media by nefarious global players like Russia hell-bent on weakening the USA.
We must somehow stop the use of social media for political, criminal and terroristic purposes.....
