There are plenty of channels or alt channels to watch political events. Cutting in on people's viewing just pisses them off, and they blame the political figures, not the media.

It is our DEMOCRACY. A bit more important than a college football game. Geebus.

But there are people that don't want to watch it. I disagree with their choice, but I respect that they have the freedom of choice.

Making adults watch when they don't want to doesn't win them over. Paraphrasing what one voter for trump said, "I'm tired of being told what to do, what to say, having everything about my life controlled by strangers in Washington."

For ALL of the networks to NOT cover this in full and completely--when they cover every damned Trump WH press conference and speech in total without question would be the height of disrespect and BIAS.

I don't care about soccer or golf the way they do. It's a freedom we have, to be disinterested. You can't force them to care.

can demand NO LESS.

Sorry, Ilse, I don't know why you would not appreciate this. We must demand the same treatment tv networks have afforded Republican Presidents, including Trump. Do you want to allow them to treat Biden differently because Trumpsters might not want to watch? REALLY?

Where is this event not available to watch? It's on PBS, other networks doing reruns. Some people (including some in my extended family) just want it all to be over.

I'm fucking exhausted by the ads, the deluge of requests for more money, and on and on. I'm getting too fucking old for constant political drama, dealing with trumpers not wearing their masks around me, taking care of disabled family members, not having a life of my own, and then getting blasted for daring to express an opinion. 124,000 new covid cases. I'm exhausted by all of it. Fuck it.

I love Joe Biden. I'll be relieved to take a break from this all when he's sworn in. I wasn't watching that game. The game I was watching is on another channel. And I stopped to watch the President-elect. But now I'm going go chill out and watch my game on ESPN.

Fuck.

The Fighting Irish are probably proud of the second Irish Catholic President being voted in and celebrating.
