So he could deliver his first ruling in the stylings of Ted Cruz reading from the floor of the Senate:

We do not like this 'Citizen's United'.
You may not buy a Nation Divided.

We do not like these shadows attacking.
It has been tried and been found lacking.

Henceforth all funding shall be disclosed.
The special interests shall be exposed.

We heard your talk, we felt your bluster.
Now behold the price of a filibuster.

And we could forever thereafter call him "The Poetic Justice".

Be eligible to be president to be in the cabinet.

We have people on the cabinet right now who could not serve as President.

If he's in a position that's in the line of succession he'd have to be skipped over if it came to that, but otherwise there's no reason he couldn't be. But would he want to do it?

All those cabinet secretaries are in the presidential line of succession.

(On edit, Yes subject to being skipped over. Now why didn't I think of that?)

Albright couldn't be President when she was Clinton's Sec of State (she was born in Czechia) nor could Kissinger when he was Nixon's (he was born in Austria). I don't recall the order after that but they would just go to the next in line (Treasury maybe).

It's cushy, there's not all that much work since clerks do a lot, but you get summers off.
