He's probably plotting his strategy right now. That may be one reason we haven't heard from him.

(19,264 posts)When he hitched his horse to the Trump shit waggon his political career was over. He just hasn't realized it.
No Trumper is going to vote for Pence. No Republican uncomfortable with Trump (the few that remain) will vote for Pence because of his lying and covering for Trump.
I don't know who the Republican nominee will be in 2024 but I am very confident it won't be Pence. He also lacks any sort of charisma, energy, or appeal so he has no future on the rally circuit, or talking head on right wing new channel. He is just done and that was locked in the second the stupidly agreed to be Dumpy VP.

for Trump, his dorky kids, every corrupt cabinet member
so he can go live the rest of his life on a Cyprus beach.
What's the going rate? $10M a head? $100M for the big guy.

(10,122 posts)We're going to find out a lot of ugly stuff that went on during the Trump-Pence watch.
Pence made his bed. Now, he's going to sleep in it.
Biden is going to slow Covid down. All the deaths during Trump' time occurred under Pence's direct supervision.
Pence has the personality of a cardboard box - bland, stiff, not a lot going on.
And he went along with Trump's lies.
Stick a fork in him. He's done politically.

(13,903 posts)Pence gets to be VP, installing christofascist theocrats to the Supreme Court, and the evangelicals support the Pig.
I think that was the evangelical plan, run Pence, once they had used Trump.
I agree with most every else though he won't win. They are going to have scare up another far right nutjob.
Maybe Abbott down here in Texas.

(32,078 posts)He was going to lose his re-election in Indiana. If they hate him there, it's pretty safe to say nobody else likes him, either.

(34,057 posts)He doesn't have the charisma to draw the Trump cult following. They tolerated him because he at least appeared to worship Trump. He's also damaged goods in what remains of the Republican party outside of the cult for the same reason.

Pence may have read some of those words in a book somewhere, but his personality doesnt reflect any of them.
In the primary, hell poll at 11% in Indiana, 2% everywhere else; hell disappear, and, God willing, will never be seen again.

He was acceptable only because he was such a low energy/low key guy.
Don't get me wrong, I would absolutely love them to pick Pence or DonJr or Kushner. These guys would lose is dramatic fashion.
I honestly think Republicans are completely lost and which direction they go will be interesting to watch

(9,950 posts)... I think the Republican nomination will go to someone more revolting. Pence is too "politically correct" for the primary voters. Maybe Ted Cruz could channel all that nasty energy.
