Trump Isn’t Paying for Wisconsin Recount
November 8, 2020 at 11:14 am EST By Taegan Goddard

The Trump campaign has not committed to put up the $3 million required to pay for a recount in Wisconsin, the Washington Post reports.

It is an indication that they’re not super serious about pursuing one and that their announcements are mostly for show.

Will they pay for the recount in Georgia? I think the 9,100 vote margin might be just outside of the .25% threshold for State paid recount.

and if more is needed; the state can stop it until another deposit is made to cover the costs.
If money is left over? Maybe they can use it to pay for all the police costs, Trump never paid for during the 2016 campaign.
That would burn his whiskers for sure.

His announcements are for show - definitely. But the failure to commit to pay for the recount signals nothing.

But the deadline for requesting a recount is as late as 5 PM on November 18. (It's a bit fuzzy, since he has to request the recount before 5 PM after the last county results are received by the state. Those are due November 17 - but if all are submitted early the deadline for requesting a recount could be earlier.)

In addition, while Wisconsin can require him to pay for the recount before it begins, it isn't imposed automatically - and the payment is due before the recount begins - at least 3 days after it is ordered.

He likes the rallies & the attention, & he likes that being prez keeps his orange ass out of jail, but other than that, I think he'd rather resign & go back to Florida & start his media empire that I think is what he really wanted all along when he first announced his run for president.

Who knows? Maybe when Rush croaks the Con will get his time slot.

They said something like the recount was for the public to know results not just Trump.

When they do lose as publicly as he did, it is a humiliation on a grand scale, he most likely is lashing out at those close to him and making their lives unbearable right now. He will never accept it was his character flaws that caused his defeat, he will place it on those around him.

Melania wore that jacket and was on recordings complaining about Christmas. Jared fucked up the PPE, Ivanka got tied to China, Steven Miller eats babies for breakfast....all of these things will be used to deflect from the truth, Trump SUCKS and the People of the United States rejected him and his lies.
