for months.
I thought the 2nd option was Close call, but doesnt quite break the rule. I choose the 2nd option a lot.
Ive only ever voted to hide a post twice ... or so I thought. Got called to jury so much during primary season, I could tap the correct button in my sleep. Then we had a long lull on flagged posts. When frequent jury duty fired up again, my dumbass didnt bother to refresh my memory on the options.
Im so sorry. Im extra sorry to anyone who may have had a post hidden because of my voting errors. I promise I will do better from here on out.

(34,055 posts)I hope your error hid (or saved me from an alert timeout on) homophobic or transphobic posts.
I've become resigned to being on alert time-out a lot, since I don't think such posts belong on DU - but I also know that far too many believe such posts are hunky dory. Frequently enough that the jury is composed of such people. I haven't stopped alerting - hoping that we will eventually live up to our ideals - but knowng that chance of hiding such posts are rare, and as frequently as not I'd be on an alert timeout.

I feel terrible. I hope no one suffered consequences.

(31,261 posts)I always read the buttons to find one that matches my decision. I dont try to remember them.
But I read it as ... it doesnt break the rules.
I dont know if the entire sentence appears on the button when using a computer? I only have a phone and an iPad, no computer or laptop, and on those only half of the sentence shows. What I see is Close call, but it

(31,261 posts)Regardless, I always read all the choices then select the one that matches my decision. I have made a mistake when in a hurry, realize and have to back up to correct it.

I am not an electronic/software person, maybe someone with hardware and software skills can explain why my phone format looks different from yours.
