election results from my suburban michigan town........

in 2016 drumpf won my town 8600 (48.8%) to 8014 (45.5%) with 5.7% of voters choosing to assist drumpf to his narrow victory in Michigan by placing their ballots into a little pile and setting them on fire.

in 2020 Biden took 11,001 (52.8%) to drumpf's 9555 (45.9%) with only 1.3% choosing to completely waste their vote.

So about 24% increase in turnout, with 4.4% of people not falling into the voter suppression trap of voting third party, and the town flipped from red to blue. So our efforts to increase turnout and expose voter suppression efforts definitely had an effect......

i think if you look a the national popular vote you see the same trend in third party too. only 1.5% ish compared to around 5% in swing states in 2016
