Don't spend too much time fretting over how close our win over the republicans was. It was a win, and think of the parade of odious scumbags to whom we now get to bid farewell---individuals who are permanently tainted by their associating with the trump crime family. Thank you, Lord!
Slate.com has a nice collection of farewells to the trump creeps, today. Worth spending some time on.

(48,959 posts)He will make very public noises in the "exploratory" phase, and I think he will run in the primaries of whichever party. Depends which way the tRump-Republicon party splits. I'm leaning to the idea that the tRumps and QAnon crowd and Tea Partiers have effectively ousted any reasonable conservatives and the remaining ones will quit in disgust next year. So I think they will form a new party rather than the other way around.

(1,648 posts)In public, on the street, in restaurants, in bars, on planes, in any building with other people in it, and especially among their past acquaintances.
Hopefully their future servers will always make it point to spit a loogy in their drinks and give them the bad food first. Too harsh? Yes, but they earned it for their contempt, hostile actions, and dereliction of their fellow Americans who weren't their buddies and weren't members of their asshole club.
