I watched the sun rise this morning - it was literally the first

time we're seeing sun in Kingston for well over two weeks.
The devastation here from flood rains is unbelievable. Zeta and Eta never hit us directly but the outer bands sure stuck around forever.

This is the Gordon Town main road

Around 2.54 on watch the idiots. They exist everywhere - who the fuck stands on the road watching landslides that can kill them

The entire island is a mess but the worst is in the South, East and North East.
Given that Covid killed tourism we are royally fucked. This is the worst flooding I have ever seen here.

I hope you are okay. Stinking climate change that's another reason we need to join the world again.

take care

decent homes never suffer like the vast majority of our citizens.
Sure we'll feel the cost of food until next year and we'll deal with the potholes and other inconveniences, but we're the lucky ones.

When I was a student decades ago, I lived off that Gordon Town Main road.

Our damage looks minimal... tree branches all over this morning but nothing major, although we pretty much stayed in the cone the whole time as it passed. But key largo took the brunt I think. They lost power early.
We sure didn’t need the rain but we are coral islands so it runs through pretty quickly. Praying everyone now in the path will be safe.

so we were already drenched before the non-stop pelting rain for over 24 hours between
Saturday and yesterday evening.

Lots of folks have no power - light poles are down.

This event has been mostly swamped in the news by the U.S. election and COVID.

Are there ways Americans can contribute to your relief efforts?
