As expected, Guliani really knows all the pieces of filth
The first person Rudy Giuliani, the attorney for President Donald Trump, called up as a witness to baseless allegations of vote counting shenanigans in Philadelphia during a press conference last week is a sex offender who for years has been a perennial candidate in New Jersey.
Its such a shame. This is a democracy, Daryl Brooks, who said he was a GOP poll watcher, said at the press conference, held at Four Seasons Total Landscaping in Northeast Philadelphia. They did not allow us to see anything. Was it corrupt or not? But give us an opportunity as poll watchers to view all the documents all of the ballots.
Trenton political insiders watched with bemusement as Brooks took the podium.
Brooks was incarcerated in the 1990s on charges of sexual assault, lewdness and endangering the welfare of a minor for exposing himself to two girls ages 7 and 11, according to news accounts.

TRENTON Daryl Brooks, city activist and independent U.S. Senate candidate, was jailed Monday for failure to pay more than $70,000 in child support payments to three women.
Brooks, who served a jail term for a sex offense in 1998, vowed to embark on a hunger strike to protest the treatment of those released from prison in America.
Americas child support system has been called by many The modern-day resurrection of the debtors prison system, Brooks said in a press release. Thousand of previously incarcerated people have been re-jailed or imprisoned for anywhere from six months to three years or more over this type of debt, and face more FELONY convictions tacked upon their records as a result.
This should put an end to Rudy's quixotic quest. But it won't. 95% of the Americans will not hear about this.
Brooks, 40, turned himself in Monday to Mercer County Sheriffs Officers, who had a warrant to arrest him under the states Deadbeat Dad law.
Brooks owed a little more than $70,000 to three women, according to Dennis McManimon, chief warrant officer for the Sheriffs Department. McManimon said it was unclear from the records how many children Brooks has with the women.
For someone to owe $70,000, it shows that he hasnt paid child support in a long time, McManimon said.
Brooks blamed his failure to support his children on his criminal past.
These charges exist because his criminal record prevents him from attaining employment of a caliber to meet his debts, Brooks wrote in his release.
Brooks was convicted in 1998 of fondling himself in front of two girls and served three years and eight months in prison. He continues to profess his innocence, saying he was set up by Trenton police and elected officials who were retaliating against his activities as a city activist. Brooks is running for the Senate as an independent candidate using the slogan Poor Peoples Campaign. He lost a bid for Congress in 2004 and a Senate bid in 2006.

(1,192 posts)Hiaasen gives a perspective on Florida that only he can do. I mean who but him could imagine a rich republican being swallowed whole by a python? This is satire at its finest. He dedicated this to his brother who was killed in a mass shooting -- I think in Maryland.

(25,241 posts)Pretty sure you need to be a registered voter to be a poll watcher and since I don't see him there, he is probably not registered to vote in PA.
I wish the Democrats would not have blown the lid on this. It would have been fun to have Daryl Brooks show up in court as one of Rudy's witnesses and then get their case tossed.
I also don't know if registered sex offenders can be poll watchers, election workers etc. (Exposure to children) They can vote if they are not on parole etc. A few in my precinct vote by mail, but others go to the polls.
