EDIT: Lauren Underwood now up 1,100+ votes in IL14 - STILL at ISSUELast edited Mon Nov 9, 2020, 01:00 PM - Edit history (1)
Wasserman has seen enough, and it's probably well outside the number of votes even remaining.
Oberweis can go back to slinging milk and ice cream! Congratulations to Lauren Underwood for being re-elected in a traditionally Republican district that voted Trump this cycle. That's reaching across the aisle! ++++++++++++ On edit: I was relying on the NY Times and Dave Wasserman. Both have since been corrected. Underwood still up and favored to take more votes in Lake County, but the margin is not 6,000 and therefore this one is not yet cooked. Come on Lauren!!! Here are the posts...slinks away... 2. Oh good...
That's one of the local races I hadn't followed.
Last I'd heard she was trailing, so i'm glad that's reversed. https://abc7chicago.com/politics/elections/local/ U.S. House - Illinois 14th District Candidates Party Total Votes Pct. 3. Great News...any other examples of Mail Ins numbers being counted now saving/winning seats for us?
Are there any other seats that might be saved with the Mail Ins, etc being counted finally. One of the reps here on LI, Tom Suozzi is down 4K, with 98K Mails Ins to count starting this week, the mail ins are overwhelmingly Dem requested, he will win his race...there are 2-3 others here that will win theirs too once the mail-ins are counted...do we know of any other House races, etc that could be flipped this way other than Underwood and Hart in IA??

5. Yay!
She's a good Democrat (and excellent U.S. Rep. based on her freshman term so far) in a tough district. Glad to see her prevail! Thanks for posting.

6. Woooohooo this just made my day!!!!!
I was really bummed about the numbers, and I know I had talked my throat dry to friends and neighbors about how much work she had accomplished as a freshman...this has truly made my day!
Living in McHenry county is sometimes NOT easy, but we did see an increase of about 12% more for Democrats in this election for the presidential race, and to hear Lauren beat Oberwise, made my day!!!!! So excited, keep talking to friends, family and neighbors...it's working. Thank you Lauren for making it easy to promote you on your record! McHenry county will get to blue soon! |

11. It looks awesome!
She busted her butt, and more people chose that over name recognition from that ...other candidate. I would never eat ice cream again, if he were the only one making it.

10. I think Oberweis has now managed to lose every elected office in the state!
Congrats to Lauren! Hopefully she can be protected a bit in redistricting, she will be a top target for Republicans in the midterms.
