I have relatives who came up to Orlando and did some shopping at the factory outlets and malls. They said it was dead everywhere and they were surprised by the number of store closings. At this time of year those outlets are swarming with foreign tourists. Did idiots like De Santis think that eliminating Covid rules would be good for business? Was he really that stupid? Well the tourists aren't. They have figured out that the United States is a hot bed for Covid and they are staying away.
