Melania tweets a happy birthday message for the USMC... by tweeting photos of herself (and it):

Happy 245th birthday to our nation’s @USMC! Today we recognize the US Marine Corps for its many achievements, celebrate the men & women who valiantly serve, honor our heroic Marine veterans, & remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedoms.

Not the it though, but her interaction with the Marine Corps is this. They stand silently ready to protect the President and his family.

I am not sure that the optics are that bad.

This coming from someone with many friends in the Marine Corps, and a proud Jr. Marine Corps ROTC member.
