If they force us to defend our country it will be known to all that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris handily won this election both the vote and ec.

Who said anything about criticizing the SOS? I’ve seen similar news reports where it seems they keep reporting the same number, or sometimes it even goes up! I remember saying to my husband a couple of days ago “wait, yesterday they said there were 100K outstanding and now they say 200k?”. But I never blamed AZ for that, I assumed it was the news agencies bungling the count.

I can’t speak for anyone else but the frustration with the slow pace doesn’t automatically equate to criticizing the SOS. I’m grateful they are being careful, but the wait is agonizing. That doesn’t mean the wait is anyone’s FAULT.

I would think each state would have a number of “counters” that is commensurate with their voting population. Maybe AZ doesn’t have enough. That could be why the state is moving so slowly relative to others with similar populations.

Joe and Kamala moving ahead to lead the country out of the mess Trump has it in. But, that is no reason to write things that are borderline insulting.

I am confident that Trump can’t win Arizona, given the counties that have the vast majority of the votes left to count. So I am in the “stay calm and let the process work” camp.

In AZ the margin requiring a recount is razor slim. Recounts above that slim margin CANNOT be requested. So I’d say they are being d*mm careful about making sure every vote is counted correctly.

with a totally broad brush..as ATT was downsizing in '98 many of us transferred from everywhere to AZ - a 900 employee facility, soon became a 2000 employee facility -

Coming in from Mass..I found myself constantly asking for an attitude adjustment for myself..I had a hard time downshifting to slow or reverse in the work force..seemed as though everyone was on vacation everyday...

This does not surprise me one bit!!!!!

Arizona recounts:
A. A recount of the vote is required when the canvass of returns in a primary or general election shows that the margin between the two candidates receiving the greatest number of votes for a particular office, or between the number of votes cast for and against initiated or referred measures or proposals to amend the Constitution of Arizona, is less than or equal to the lesser of the following:

1. One-tenth of one per cent of the number of votes cast for both such candidates or upon such measures or proposals.
2. Two hundred votes in the case of an office to be filled by state electors and for which the total number of votes cast is more than twenty-five thousand.

Requested recount procedures
Arizona does not allow requested recounts.

Arizona voting results: Biden's lead narrows, but not fast enough for Trump to prevail
Rob O'Dell
Arizona Republic

~snip~

What's left to count
Counting ballots in Arizona typically takes many days, partly because so many voters use early ballots. These can be returned up until the end of Election Day, but those late-arriving ballots must be verified and then counted in the days that follow.

Now, though, most early ballots have been counted. More than half the ballots that remain are provisional ballots, which are given to voters who can't verify their ID at the polls, those who received a mail-in ballot but decided to vote in person or those that voted in the wrong polling place if their county did not use voting centers.

45,856 and 50,722 votes remaining to be counted depending on which site you're looking at. Joe's lead is 13,582. 90% of the votes remaining are in Maricopa and Pima counties. Unless, there's something out of the ordinary, this should be about a 50-50 split. Still too close to call.
