Biden team launches agency review teams despite GSA standoff

President-elect Joe Biden’s transition team is trying to jump-start the transfer of power even as President Donald Trump refuses to concede and the federal government is stalling the transition.

The transition is releasing the names of scores of their “agency review teams” Tuesday, including several exclusively provided to POLITICO. The announcement provides the most thorough look to date on what the Biden administration will look like. Members of review teams often end up taking jobs at the agencies they are assigned to and will influence who the Biden administration eventually hires. They are also being closely watched by some in the party's left-wing for signs of that former lobbyists or corporate executives are influencing the Biden administration.

The team leaders in charge of coordinating the handover of power at some of the federal government's biggest departments and agencies include Ur Mendoza Jaddou, who will lead the team at the Department of Homeland Security; Leandra English at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau; Cecilia Martinez at the White House Council on Environmental Quality; and Gary Gensler taking lead on the Federal Reserve plus banking & securities regulators.

The transition team argued that the new list of personnel represented its commitment to the party’s left wing, despite some progressives’ skepticism of Biden. “The strong, progressive values of many of the ART members, in addition to the deep roots in the labor movement, will set the tone for the incoming Biden-Harris administration,” the transition said in a statement.

but - and who'da thunk it - prepared for what it takes to actually do the job - yeah, the REAL JOB of being the leader of the free world, and not looking for a way to grift his way through another scam that has cost the United States SO much in people (COVID), money (the American economy/debt), and world prestige (treaties, alliances, diplomatic relations).

GAWD, Joe has SO much to do - and we've got a bunch of DU'ers that are ready to help, support, and push!
