It may take 20 years before that happens, but it's hard to see how republicans return to normalcy.

Maybe if we really are able to restore election integrity and eliminate voter suppression, and then they get clobbered at the ballot box, mayyyybe. Maybe.

His brainwashed cult followers are true believers. As long as there is a steady stream of hate radio and TV, they're pretty much gone. The other type are the true sociopaths who aren't fooled by Trump one bit, but voted for him because they see him as a useful idiot who fulfills their ultimate wishlist.

I don't want to coexist with either of them.

Only if their their voting rights are revoked. They've all proven beyond a doubt that they can't properly handle the franchise. Sometimes I wonder if some sort of intelligence test should be a prerequisite for voter registration. That's a limitation I could live with.

Whenever they are around, what I know they support, is the 800 pound gorilla in the room for me. And that is before they even open their mouths.

So I'm going to guess no, in general, with hope however that families that have split over him can find ways to reconcile and put it behind them.

If I had the knowledge and money, I'd produce a television show featuring the deprogramming of Trump supporters.

the extent of trump's crimes will be made public. The true believers will think it's fake
news, but some trumpers may be educated, and not by Fox. I'm not holding my breath.
