Dr. Sanjay Gupta reporting to CNN this morning that Doctors Without Borders is now focusing their aid on the US, having decided that it’s the most looming humanitarian disaster in the world right now & we have a president who can’t think of anything but feeling sorry for himself.

We are being consumed by the coronavirus which is accelerating at lightning speed. Doctors and scientists across the country have been beating the drum for months. Thanks to the lack of help from the Federal government/Trump, one might say that we've successfully reached hell hole status. Check out these grim highlights from today's New York Times:

* The coronavirus pandemic is spreading with frightening speed throughout the United States, shattering records on a daily basis.

* On Thursday, November 12, 2020, for the first time, officials recorded more than 150,000 new cases in one day -- in fact it was more than 160,000. It was only eight days earlier that the country had its first 100,000 case day.

* Six of the last nine days have set new records. With colder weather driving people indoors, there is little reason to expect a respite soon.

* In the past week, the virus has killed more than 1,000 Americans a day. This wave is washing over every part of the United States. Not one state is seeing any declines and more than 30 states have set new records.

* "Covid-19 is everywhere in our state: It is bad everywhere, and it is getting worse everywhere," said Julie Willems Van Dijk, of the Wisconsin Dept. of Health. Covid-19 is so bad in Wisconsin that the Department of Health needed a whole new category: "CRITICALLY HIGH." All but seven counties are already in it.

My friends, please do not leave your home without a mask on your face. Assume that all of the folks you encounter are infected, especially since some of them may very well be -- they just aren't aware of it. Hang in there.
