Louisville police, county attorney's office hide 738,000 records in Explorer sex abuse case
Louisville Metro Police concealed at least 738,000 records documenting the sexual abuse of Explorer Scouts by two officers then lied to keep the files from the public, records show.
The Courier Journal last year requested all records regarding sexual abuse of minors by two officers in the Explorer Scout program for youths interested in law enforcement careers.
Police officials and the Jefferson County Attorneys Office said they couldn't comply, insisting all the records had been turned over to the FBI for its investigation.
But that wasn't true, according to records The Courier Journal recently obtained in the appeal of its open records case.
In fact, the department still had at least 738,000 records, which the city allowed to be deleted.

"I have practiced open records law since the law was enacted 45 years ago, and I have never seen anything so brazen," said Jon Fleischaker, an attorney for The Courier Journal. "I think it an outrage."

I have been thoroughly unsettled (other than the Biden victory) ever since election night. I was so focusing on the House and the Senate at granular level, and close to my worst fears are coming true (barring 2 huge upsets in the GA run-offs). At best we will probably will have a razor-thin 223-212 (meaning 6 defections and we are under the magic 218 number on votes) majority in the House, and if IA-2 and CA-25 (IA-2 the Rethug is up by 48 votes, CA-25, the Kate Hill, the Rethug is up by 159 votes) go against us, it will likely be only a 221-214 majority. 4 defections (provided all the Rethugs hold together) and we cannot pass many things.
I cannot see any major (but controversial) bills going through the House, let alone the Senate, where even if we are at 50-50 + Harris post GA, Manchin or any other Senator can play kingmaker and and/or bill executioner (again provided the Rethugs hold the line, which they almost always will).

Breonna Taylor's death is more than sufficient to explain the intensity and length of the riots.
This may help us understand in greater depth.
