11-15-20 Update on my experience with poor "page back" function when viewing the DU

Latest Threads page.

To recap: What with various updates from Microsoft and Firefox I lost the proper "page back" function when viewing the DU Latest Threads page. I didn't have any problems viewing the DU My Threads or Lounge pages. (I keep two DU tabs open to have easy access.)

I first experienced the problem with my old WIN7 computer and found that if I rebooted
Firefox just before viewing the DU Latest Threads page then I had no problem. Early this
last September I upgraded to a WIN 10 computer and found I had the same problem. No
big, I knew how to deal with it.

Then within the last week I found out that on the DU tab that I typically leave Latest Threads
open on I had gone to My Posts. Oh well, I'm getting old. So I then selected Latest Threads
and decided to see what happened. (curiosity can be a good thing) Lo and behold the "page
back" functioned just fine without having to reboot Firefox. This is an improvement since the
reboot is time-consuming.

Obviously viewing My Posts then going to Latest Threads on the same tab does some kind
of magical voodoo reset that works. I don't have the tech smarts to say it any better than
that.

Let's say I'm in the GD forum and click on a thread. When I click the back arrow to return to GD it refreshes the forum. It didn't do that for all the years I've been here - joined in 2003.

So now I open threads in a new tab and that resolves keeping GD as it is until I decide to refresh it.

on DU and I wasn't happy opening each one in a new tab. I get the page refreshed at times
too but it's ok with me. To each our own! Thanks for your post.
