We have to come to Realize that trump is not leaving the WH

Of his own accord.

(judging by his tweets in the past 15 minutes)

So my very serious question, what is the procedure here on Jan 20th.

Is there a stand off between Trump's secret service and President Biden??

There must be something in place, for this exact situation.

I expect he's going to waffle and try shit behind the scenes to get faithless electors to vote for him (wishful thinking), but yeah, I doubt he'll be anywhere near the White House after Jan 6. It'll be a ghost town. Luckily by then the GSA will almost certainly release the funds (Dec. 1st is the last SoS certification and Dec. 14th is when the electors in the states decide the next President).

This is over.

So will all his other govt connected social media and email accounts, as well as phone and computer access.

For the first time in 4 years, Trump will have no way to communicate on the global scale he's accustomed to. He'll have to go buy new cell phones and computers, and all the necessary peripherals they need. Then he'll need to find someone to run his IT service and sign up for new accounts to everything.

Of course, Trump will have no plan in place to make this transition run smoothly. It will be his usual crap shoot where unintended hilarity ensues.

Biden will be POTUS.

The Presidency is not a physical location. It resides in the person who has that title. Our United States Secret Service will no longer answer to Trump but instead will attend to Biden.

Whenever they have the people’s White House cleared out, then Biden will step in.
In the mean time, he can run the country from Air Force 1 or other designated locations and transport facilities that are used in the event the President is not at the White House.

I just hope I have access to a TV on this auspicious day so we can watch Trump make a fool of himself. If he has decided to be a squatter.

I happen to agree with the theory that Trump will swan off to Mar-a-Lago for Christmas and just not return. I am much more interested in how they serve him with papers for his cases brewing in NY if he is in Florida. Would he pull a runner??

And a coup would not necessarily mean mobilization of armed forces. A coup would be anything other than the organs of state power doing something other than recognizing Biden's executive authority starting on 1/20.

a coup is not going to happen. There is a more than zero chance that Trump refuses to leave but he ceases to be president January 21st. At that point the loyalty of the Secret Service and US Marshalls transfers to Biden. And Trump can be led out in handcuffs, if necessary.

Obsessing about a hypothetical physical "occupation" of the White House is an unhelpful distraction. As everyone has said, the Secret Service obeys the president, who, from Jan 20th, is Joe Biden. Who sits is a building is also a minor matter; it's who the government follows orders from. That will be Joe Biden.

The actual problem is that Trump is, right now, blocking the cooperation with the transition team. Don't talk about a non-problem 2 months ahead; talk about the real problem the USA has right now.
