So disappointing to hear people call anti-masking and election denial "disappointing"

We (including democratic politicians and the media) need to stop tiptoeing around these issues while republicans behave like bulls in a China shop.

Refusing to wear a mask in public is biological terrorism. Words like "disappointing", "controversial", "irresponsible", and "selfish" don't even come close to capturing what it is.

It makes everyone with a lick of sense fear that the next breath they take might just be the pivotal moment that leads inexorably to their death and maybe even to the death of members of their family. And even if they don't know enough to fear it, it may well be that pivotal moment.

If some people from the Middle East came here spreading a lethal virus, these same idiots would immediately call the biological terrorists. Well, radical Islamic biological terrorists, but still.

We need to call anti-maskers terrorists.
We need to call them mass murderers.
We need to call them serial killers.
We need to call them death spreaders.

"Disappointing" isn't going to accomplish a damn thing. We need to bring out the big guns. Like another post said, it's like we're trying to put out fires and they keep lighting more, claiming they have a right to start fires. You don't call such behavior "disappointing". You call it arson. You call it murder.

Same with the election denial crap. It's fascism. It may not be a coup, but only because it's not likely to succeed. It's a coup attempt, or at least a trial balloon for a coup.

They haven't been "conservative" for a long time. They're fascists, and they need to be called fascists.

We need to resist, strongly. Calling them out for what they really are is the bare minimum we need to do to keep it from getting worse.

You have Trump, right wing media and Russian bots feeding gullible people loads of misinformation. So while I think the labels may fit for those who know better, it's not appropriate for the dumb ones.

But ignoring the fact that they are being fed a steady diet of misinformation by what they view as authority figures isn’t going to bring us closer to solutions.
