To raise money for himself, and to mislead prosecutors he'll be here, then he flee's the country with the money ? He does often claim stuff to then later do the opposite. Is this also to threaten the GOP to not turn on him? His desperation is escalating daily with claims he knows is untrue. Will he soon threaten Biden's with arrest, or others? Hope all who has been his opposition are well protected. Trump's capable of doing anything, especially if Putin's involved.

Why not? There’s a chance he can win again. This whole thing started as a joke but now it’s deadly serious. He has a hardcore base with tens of millions in it. They fucking love this guy. There won’t be a Republican who can beat him in the primary and Americans are incredibly short sighted with terrible memories. If Joe gets blocked on everything and can’t produce results, you can bet your ass he’ll run and he can win.

lawsuits. Trump is already facing a number of federal and state charges, and several personal lawsuits as well.

If the charges against Trump are solid and he would face lengthy prison time, then maybe he should not be offered bail as he is a flight risk. He has the money, his own planes, foreign properties to live in. He is also chums with many foreign dictators who would love to piss on the US by supporting Trump's escape from prosecution, possibly in exchange for some secret intel data that Trump will dangle as incentive.

He's deeply in debt, his businesses are failing, and I honestly think he doesn't like being president very much. I think he'd rather be a rich blowhard with a media network and think that he's got lots of political power. His political star is fading, and soon all that will be left is a couple million ardent fans.

They don't have to send the DOJ after Trump, just let the process play out with exposing how corrupt and inept the Trump administration was. He can say one thing, while the legal system is doing its job and exposing and ruining Trump's brand as a politician.

The office is powerful, don't have to overtly attack Trump to expose him.
