2. We are in "titantic sinking" mode

9. We have people calling every day who are pissed our

outside dining isn’t open. Most folks are fine when I tell them, “No, we are carryout only,” but about 10% get whiny or even nasty. It is taking a lot of patience to not yell at these morons. We are in the middle of a pandemic, we have all have high risk family members, we would have to open our bathroom for outdoor diners and we definitely don’t want you inside our building ... my fantasy rant would go on and and on. And that is the nice, clean version. We are in a blue area, can’t even imagine the unhinged bs workers in deep red areas are dealing with.

I thought things were really starting to get out of hand here in Maine, so I'm surprised we're still listed as doing better than the other states. I think the god damn Trump rallies in northern Maine did us in. We were doing great until he visited and Pence and Trump's family. Two, three weeks afterward we had more daily cases than ever before. Here's hoping we can get it under control. Masks are required in all public places throughout the state now.

In this case "doing better" still isn't doing very well. Even HI has cause for worry and it's the only state on the map that's yellow.
