(11,242 posts)1) the OP concerns the SC race (maybe you missed that)
2) the poster has gone back and edited the OP -- removing some of the "Inquiring minds want to know" element it originally sported
3) what either you or I "think" (about X, Y or Z) has absolutely zip to do with evidence or fact. It's called speculation (at best!).
Show me the stolen votes, or illegal actions, that took place in the race in question. Then I'm right there calling for prosecution (along with lots of others). But I'm not calling foul before I see any evidence. And if you want to engage in that activity -- it's a free world, but you can expect some push back.
In a word -- "Prove it!"

(17,981 posts)We need an audit. Just like the Republicans demanded in Georgia. You can not have facts until you do. Ask Republicans.
stopdiggin
(11,242 posts)is, "Lindsey Graham is a cheater -- therefore an audit is warranted" Still, sans evidence. Do you have a reason to call for an audit -- other than the fact that LG is an odious politician?
True Blue American
(17,981 posts)I am saying. If Republicans can demand audits as they did in Georgia we have the same right. That is exactly what they did.
Lindsey over stepped himself in Georgia. Now he admits he did the same thing in Arizona and Nevada. That is Election meddling, yet you concentrate on telling me what you think I said.

(11,242 posts)due to a razor thin margin -- regardless of what the Republicans did. There are mechanisms and provisions ....
Sigh. Oh, never mind.
Do your evidence free thing, if you feel better. Good luck!

(11,242 posts)(and in many instance will be be) without meeting certain criteria. The "no brainer" here was .... Yepper. A very narrow margin.
Other common situations where a recount may be requested include:
If there is a suspected error or discrepancy in the returns, an election official can ask for a recount.
If a candidate for federal or state office petitions the Secretary of State regarding a suspected error or discrepancy, the Secretary of State can ask for a recount.
And interestingly enough -- still nothing at all to do with the South Carolina race. Supposedly the one in question here.

(11,242 posts)It wasn't a particularly close race. And with little or no evidence to go on -- this kind of rant is just muck raking -- and not at all helpful. Lend your energies someplace where they might do some good.

(11,242 posts)some of them might have been calling it close (I don't think 538 ever had Graham losing, or really even terribly close). And, of course the election itself .... This was one they didn't have any trouble calling early.
(if this was a dig at "the polls" -- I'll concede that one in a heartbeat!)
