Turns out they are all on the side of the folks threatening our democracy, and have been all along.

that are in his party these days. Garbage people. It wouldn't keep him from being threatened, but maybe he ought to think about switching parties. One would think he would reflect on his choice of party after being menaced and attempted coercion from Lindsey Graham. At the very least, if I were in his shoes, I'd become an independent.

Republicans than for Democrats. What if there was a recount in Maryland and Elizabeth Warren was calling the Democratic SoS there and directing him to throw away Republican ballots? It would be the biggest scandal since Watergate. Nothing will be done to Graham Cracker or anyone else, though.

split in 2 - the crazies and the sane. With that split, the dems could regain power and fix the county while they sort things out, with the sane prevailing. (Hey, don't mess with my fantasy)

Then - we could get back to debating actual policies with a balanced SC, no gerrymandering, no EC, and politicians on both sides would work to appeal to the actual voters via policy.

We do need a check on each other. Not everyone is as far left liberal as I am and that's okay. Vigorous debate on substance is good but it has been a very long time since that existed. We used to have that at our family dinner table with my conservative father and liberal mother presiding

I think if the sane Republicans left and formed a party, though, you would also have some of the more conservative Democrats go and join them. So you would likely end up with a 30% GOP, a 40% x party, and a 30% Democrats, which might work if you can get the liberals and the moderates to form a coalition. It wouldn't be perfect, but it would be better than now, for sure.

If it hadn't happened with Trump, it would have eventually happened with somebody else.

You can tell that by the behavior of congressional and state level Rs.

The GA SoS actually has some integrity, so he's now an enemy of the new fascist Trump Party.
