I'll take a million such people, thank you!

One of our National Guard units returned home after a 6 month overseas deployment. The local news did the usual homecoming story as the troops got off the bus from the airport where their families were assembled to greet them.

One PFC was shown. An Hispanic name. A Spanish accent. His sister and Mom were there, both with accents.

Sister and Mom with American flag face masks.

Paraphrasing Mom: I love him. I'm so proud of him, I'm glad he's home.

I don't even know if any of them are citizens, but I DO know I'll take a million such people in my community over even one RWNJ with camo sneakers, a beer gut, and no record of service to our country.

Gracias por el servicio, amigo mío!

Thanks for your service and lets get real about immigration/climate change policy. We need as many skilled workers from Central/So America as we can stand. Climate change is coming and we need people who work hard and can build things. That's our reality. Embrace it.
