Frivolous lawsuits?

At some point, with all these pretty much identical lawsuits being thrown out of court, most of them as far as I can tell, after the judge's first question about the basis of the suit, isn't the Trump campaign liable for some kind of punishment for tying up the legal system with a bunch of silly, unwinnable litigation? In addition to their having to pay costs, I mean.

in different jurisdictions they will probably not suffer and repercussions from doing so as they will likely not see the same judge or court again.

You think you want fines for frivolous lawsuits, but you do not. If we start fining them rather than tossing them you open the door for all small suites to not be filed due to fear of fines. Remember if you file a frivolous suit and its tossed, you still pay the court fee's, and your attorney fees. That is the incentive to not file them. Edit, you may also find as a small filer most attorneys won't take your suit because they know it's going to get tossed and tell you as much.

Attorneys can be sanctioned for bad faith filings under Rule 11 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (which also has an analog in many state rules of civil procedure).

representing the Trump campaign are bowing out. That, and the knowledge that they'll never be paid.
