Today was the Trump campaign's deadline to pony up $7.9 million if it wanted a recount in Wisconsin. Trump and his bois must be running low on grifting cash, because instead they're opting to pay $3 million to recount the votes in just two counties. The counties Team Trump is going after are Milwaukee and Dane, which gave Biden 35 percent of the votes he received in the state. They also just so happen to be home to three-quarters of Wisconsin's Black population.
Uh huh.

He would also probably be able to get some after-election shenanigans through in those White areas -
"Well, lookie heah, where did these four bags of ballots come from? And they're all postmarked between 15 October and 30 October..."
And they could run 95% for Trump, in predominantly Red areas, with no local batting an eye. Well, there's a possible court challenge for Michigan vote certification right there.
Might not be able to get it past the Michigan SoS, but they might be able to get it through the courts.

(10,073 posts)I suspect - and this is my opinion without backup data - that most cities would have been expecting close scrutiny of how they handle elections and would have done everything they could to make them fair and by the book. It's the small remote districts that would be more likely to let some dubious practices slip in since they wouldn't expect close attention.
