Poles are melting, holes in the sky. Woods are on fire. Scary pollution. The Earth's gonna die.

To Uncle Joe. Our beloved Prez-elect.

How can we help you save this planet?

I think that you're the person to start this process of saving our only home. Democrats, let's start a discussion on saving this planet.

Joe will lead us in the right direction. Give him a chance and encourage him on environmental action.

We're in the goldilocks zone, not too hot, not too cold. Plenty of rain, not too much. We have a handful of deserts, not too many.

So climate change is basically a reshuffling of the deck. Why would we choose that when we are holding a royal flush?

Earth isn't going to die, and I suspect the human race will carry on as well. But we may have desertification and we may have more droughts. It looks like more wildfires is a given and energy security is a total crapshoot. The bread basket may be less dependable.

Some areas may get a more moderate climate, though. Those are the areas the rich will slowly buy up and migrate to. They know this, so they aren't worried. The rich tend to be more mobile than the poor. So they can move out of the way of a slow-moving financial disaster and leave others holding the bag.
