The Coward Emily Murphy Is Breaking Down Over Betraying Her Country To Stay Loyal To Trump

“She absolutely feels like she’s in a hard place. She’s afraid on multiple levels. It’s a terrible situation,” one friend and former colleague of Murphy’s told CNN. “Emily is a consummate professional, a deeply moral person, but also a very scrupulous attorney who is in a very difficult position with an unclear law and precedence that is behind her stance.

Murphy is using the 2000 election as her standard for blocking the Biden transition, which is absurd because 2000 was decided by 537 votes in one state. Joe Biden beat Trump by several hundred thousand votes and flipped five states that Trump carried back into the Democratic column.

A real public servant wouldn’t be struggling with the decision.
DO YOUR FUCKING JOB, EMILY, tRump won't be here to save your ass in 62 days.

White House attorney dispatched to agency blocking Biden transition

WASHINGTON — Five days before the presidential election, the Trump administration dispatched attorney Trent Benishek of the White House general counsel’s office to the General Services Administration.

The agency, which oversees government leases among other administrative tasks, is little known to the general public. Nor is Benishek’s name among those that have become a staple of Trumpworld reporting.

Accordingly, the move attracted no notice as the nation, and the world, focused on the Nov. 3 presidential election, perhaps the most consequential in modern American history.

GSA put out a press release, which said that as the new general counsel of the GSA, as well as its top ethics official, Benishek would “advise in the formulation and promulgation of GSA policies and regulations, oversee the agency’s litigation, and provide overall direction.”

The doublespeak is on full display: one claim is that he is there to "provide overall direction" but another is that he "does not direct her as to what to do." When a GSA spokesperson announces that "Benishek would not be acting as a White House surrogate within the GSA" we can all assume that is exactly his role.

Murphy's screwed and she knows it. She could have done her job properly, but she doesn't have the integrity or the backbone for that. Looks like Benishek might be there to take the helm if Murphy wavers--but she won't. Her paycheck is more important to her than her country.

4. The BIG ONE -- by putting her loyalty to Trumo over the loyalty to her oath of office and the 330 million people who count on her to do her job correctly she has not only endangered those 330 million but also counless millions around the world.

You TOOK the oath of office, saying in part, "to support and defend the CONSTITUTION against all enemies foreign and domestic."

THE CONSTITUTION EMILY, not any individual!
THE CONSTITUTION EMILY, not any individual!
THE CONSTITUTION EMILY, not any individual!

General Milly's in a recent speech makes it clear THE CONSTITUTION EMILY, not any individual!

Forget the Orange TURD! and the 2000 election. You are looking for an excuse. THE CONSTITUTION EMILY, not any individual!

The reason I ask is that most of them voted for Trump despite their "deeply moral" beliefs.

Jesus has a word for people like this: hypocrites.

She is just one more disciple of Drumpf! Now that he is on his way out the door she is panicking because she has no way out. Once some big Republican donor gives her a job she will finally do her job at the GSA.

I have a problem with ANY republican who wears the "moral" mantle .... I've seen nothing "moral" from that party in a long long time.

turned on others who were no longer useful to him. She's afraid of doing jail time and has no reason to trust that he will pardon her.
If only all of his supporters could see him through that lens.

Does she think he's going to be the one to give her an "attagirl, Emily" professional recommendation to ease her into a new job? Frankly, I'm quite certain tRump doesn't know her from a hole in the ground, and if he has become aware of her in the last couple of weeks, it'll only be because he happened to see her bloated body on Fux Spews. And, does she not know deep down in her bones that the only reason he noticed her is because she is the antithesis of the women he likes?

Were she so competent, she would have reasonably predicted the situation in which she put herself, and she would have AVOIDED the ethical and professional dilemma that places her in the middle of a huge electoral fiasco.

Competency and professionalism flies out the window when she gets pressured and intimidated by Trump. The truism exists: Everything Trump Touched Dies. Murphy got touched by President Pennywise. Now she exposed herself to disbarment, ethical violations, civil lawsuits, and criminal prosecution. That's really smart, Emily. When you listen to your Golden god, you lose everything. Goodnight, Emily.

...to feel important. To feel like she has a purpose.

And the media --CNN especially-- is working overtime to help her fill out her GOP* Victim Bingo Card.

The thing is: She is NOT being asked to pick the winner. She is only asked to "ascertain" the likely winner so that the funds and facilities can be released so that Team Biden can begin their transition.

Also telling, is that she refuses to answer the question "Have you been in contact with anyone at the White House to discuss this Ascertainment?" GSAEmily is an attorney and knows full well the consequences of lying. She knows THE ENTIRE COUNTRY is watching her actions. She knows exactly what she is doing, and as the wonderful Laurence O'Donnell said last night in no uncertain terms "Emily Murphy is lying."

I just called that Emily W Murphy lady who won't sign the transition paperwork at noon in DC. Whoever answered the phone was very nice and very cool. When I told her who I really wanted to speak with I thought I'd hear "clunk" as my phone was hung up but that didn't happen. The person said Emily is getting tons of messages (implied they were nastygrams) but that Emily definately would be getting mine too. I even left my phone number in case Elily would like to discuss being a traitor and a tRump kiss ass. My message was that "she is unAmerican and she isn't performing her job as required by the govt and should therefore step down of she does not fulfill her duties in a timey manner".

I wanted to say terrible things laced with lots of profanity but chose to take the high road since the person who answered the phone was so cool and told me Emily is getting the many messages like mine and she would love nothing more than delivering another batch to her. I have the feeling that Emily Murphy isn't having a good time with her tRump pals these days.
