Even going to the grocery store is scary, I have no desire to leave the yard.

He with be flying PA to the Bay Area... 5 hours on a plane We are not planning a big dinner...just a nice Turkey dinner for the three of us. I was thinking of keeping windows open, wiping down, social distancing for the first 10 days or so.. Is anyone else dealing with similar circumstances?

My son is in college, but living here the whole time and doing classes online. Honestly, I could never do social distancing with my own kids. I'm not personally worried for myself, my husband, or my other child, so we would just opt to do the quarantine thing with him if we were in that situation. Plus, no keeping windows open in Maine this time of year, lol.

That is not our circumstance. If you can afford it, you could pay to have him stay at a local motel... quarantine there. Are they really forcing the students out of on campus housing for the short Thanksgiving break? Are you talking about the break in between semsters around Christmas?

for a bit and take a covid-19 test before moves back in with you? Not sure how long... you'd have to look up what that procedure is, but I think the quarantine time can be shortened if he gets a negative covid-19 test.

Luckily, it’s just a drive in the car, no airplanes. However, he will still be in quarantine at home for a time.
We’ve had many a discussion about this and we understand the risk of letting him back into our pod.

Walke added that the CDC is concerned “about the transportation hubs.” He said he’s worried people won’t be able to maintain social distancing while waiting in line, for example, to board buses and planes.

Public transportation or shared rides from the college to the PA airport is probably the risky segment.

I’m hoping it won’t be as busy as past years because fewer people w8ll be traveling. We don’t have a choice because his break is over 8 weeks.
