Good article to calm my nerves

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/11/19/how-electoral-college-works-437749

Looks like the Republican legislatures can’t choose their own electors without changing state law, in which they won’t be able to do with Democratic Governors...However, now I think Trump’s play is to screw these states’ certifications up where they don’t send any electors so that Biden falls below 270 and then the House of Representatives (by state delegation) get to choose....even if he can screwup the Michigan certification it still wouldn’t put Biden below 270.

He would have to have some combination of 4-5 states to get it all tossed into the House in Congress Roland99 Nov 2020 #4

The Board as 2/2 from each party. If it become a tie, Gov. is the 5th.

Also the 2/2 has a duty to certify it.

whomever gets the majority of certified EC would be declared the winner. The voting by delegation part only comes into play if its a tie.

Didn’t read up on that....so in that case Michigan certification doesn’t even really matter....just as long as Biden doesn’t fall below Trump’s 232

If one or a group of states doesn’t submit a slate of electors, they don’t figure into the total. Otherwise the election of 1864 would have been illegal.
