thought Biden was the legitimate winner.

If we survive this, and that’s a real if in my view (it’s not absurd to feel that democracy might not survive), we absolutely must neuter the RW propaganda machine. We need to demand and expect factual, true information from all news sources. There needs to be sanctions against violators.

they were so affronted by the tenure of a duly elected man of color that I voted for twice as a middle age old white broad
were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO offended and butthurt it has caused this psycho backlash.
There can be NO other explanation that makes sense.
Racist, fearful, uneducated, whiny, woman hating, basement dwelling bullies that want this psycho to tell them what to do
and how to live and it will be ok for whitey and he will keep them safe from socialists.

Not so much that Trump will succeed in staying in office, but that nearly half the country is hearing our elections are illegitimate and full of massive fraud and should not be accepted. This will have huge implications going forward.

But it isn't half. Republicans don't represent half the people. It's only about 30%. So 84% of them is "only" 25%

Still a frightening number of people but not as bad as you fear. And it will have huge implications going forward.

Even if Biden manages to officially get elected President by the electors after all the Trumpian tricks, the GOP pols will block him and trump will pretend to be the real President from the sidelines.

Other posters said 31%. Where are these figures coming from? Trump got about 74 millions votes. That is far higher than 25% of voters and in our system voters are the only thing that counts.

10%? Not nearly enough (or just enough?) of course, but for a party that knows how to fall in line, maybe significant.

I bet that’s why Trump did worse than the rest of the Rs. All the R voters who voted for Biden, or voted for no one for president, but still went party down ticket.

Also..if you figure the 10% Rs who did not support Trump more than likely think the election was fair, then only 6% of people who actually voted for trump think the elections were fair. Or, 94% of Trump voters think the election was rigged. 70M!
