Minneapolis Park Board: No more citations for women going topless in the parks
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board voted Wednesday to allow anyone to go topless in the citys parks without being ticketed.
Under city and state law, its legal for anyone to be topless in public. But a Minneapolis park ordinance continued to make bared female breasts in city parks and parkways grounds for an indecent exposure citation.
{snip}
The current ordinance says that no one 10 or older shall intentionally expose his or her own genitals, pubic area, buttocks or female breast below the top of the areola, with less than a fully opaque covering, in or upon any park or parkway. Wednesdays vote repealed the part related to breasts.

It's good to see that the city is looking after what is important. Now that Winter is here, though, I doubt that people will be flocking to the parks to gaze at women's breasts for at least a few months...

(146,254 posts)7. Weather's nice here for about six months of the year.
The other six months are a bit too chilly for topless escapades in the park, though.

It's 41 degrees right now, so no problem, apart from some aesthetic issues.

(146,254 posts)5. Indeed. I'm not sure how much of an issue it was, really,
in any case. I mean, I'm glad they're equalizing the rules, but I doubt I'll ever see a topless woman in a Minneapolis park. Most women aren't that interested in going topless in public, I'm sure.
Besides, I have seen women's breasts before. So, I'm not aching for the opportunity to see them in a park.
